Yesterday was my final day in the Tokyo office, so my colleague Brian decided that I should experience a traditional Japanese meal at a beautiful restaurant near the Tokyo Tower. You would never guess that you were in the middle of a huge city – the restaurant, which is a reconstructed sake brewery, is so tranquil and peaceful. The meal had many courses – most of which involved some form of tofu… sesame tofu, deep fried tofu, fried tofu, tofu in seasoned soy milk. It was actually extremely tasty – and beautifully presented.

After lunch we went up the Tokyo Tower – a copy of the Eiffel Tower and at 333m just a few feet higher. There’s a section with a glass floor which is surprisingly scary… I usually have no problem with heights! And it’s nothing compared to the
Grand Canyon Skywalk which I hope to visit some day… maybe I'm losing my nerve in my old age!

It’s my final day in Tokyo today – so will post on what I got up to when I get back to Hong Kong tomorrow.
