Touch down!

Well I've arrived!

Here's me leaving home (and also the home of RBS!)...

And here's what greets you when you arrive in HK!!! You simply can't escape!

The flight was reasonably comfortable - I managed to sleep for about 7 hours and woke up just in time for breakfast (although shouldn't that have been lunch given it was 1 o'clock in the afternoon).

I'm now checked into my apartment - which will do me fine... photos to come! I was met at Hong Kong station by Jon, one of the guy's from the audit team - it was good to see a familiar face as I'd met him at the GIA conference in Brighton a few weeks ago.

I've unpacked (or more accurately emptied my suitcases on to the bed) and am contemplating going out for some food before going to bed - it's already 7.30pm here!

First day in the office tomorrow - if I can wake up!

Glad you've arrived safe and well. We'll be in touch each Sunday morning and evening re the sound - just so you know you're missed.
No doubt you'll be listening in anyway to make sure the team is up to scratch.
Enjoy the views from your tall tower.

Unless you read your blog at work (for lack of better things to do..??!!) then you should have finished your first day's work in HK by the time you're reading this. Hope you had a good day! Thinking of you

Did you stay awake all day?
